By passing through a residential area of Riehen we slowly climb St. Chrischona, the highest elevation of Basel-Stadt. From the terrace of the famous chapel St. Chrischona we may enjoy the broad view of the city of Basel and its surrounding area. We follow the hills eastward along the Rhine valley. Finally we come to the Eigenturm from where we become aware of the dense development of the upper Rhine valley.
